Role Purpose

To oversee and execute all customs-related activities within the branch, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations for import and export shipments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and verifying documents, such as export permits.
  • Managing communication with customs authorities and customers.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to guarantee smooth cargo movement.
  • Enforcing compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support import and export customs clearance, including document verification and coordination across branch offices.
  • Compile and review customs documentation (e.g., export papers).
  • Serve as the primary contact for both:
    • Customs authorities (resolve queries, clarify procedures).
    • Customers (guide them through customs requirements).
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws and DACHSER policies.
  • Raise and resolve documentation discrepancies with precision.

Key Candidate Requirements

  • Exceptional communication (written & verbal clarity; ability to listen empathetically and persuade).
  • Strong problem-solving – analyzing issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Mathematical and digital literacy (e.g., spreadsheet analysis, IT systems).
  • Desire to deliver high-quality customer service with a results-driven mindset.
