Snapshot of your day

The position is essential for maintaining the team's capacity to manage customs quality and compliance activities for Siemens Energy's UK operations. To address this, the role is structured around two core areas: Customs Compliance & Operations and Quality Assurance & Process Support. This focus ensures the execution of daily customs tasks and the upholding of data quality standards, directly supporting the team's compliance mandate. Given the focus on foundational compliance tasks, the ideal candidate will possess theoretical knowledge of international trade, typically gained through higher education, and demonstrate strong analytical abilities. This position is designed for an entry-level professional who will operate under close supervision while learning established processes.

How you'll make a difference

  • Perform routine data quality checks on customs information within internal systems (e.g., SAP) to identify inconsistencies
  • Support internal compliance reviews and audits by gathering and preparing necessary documentation
  • Identify and escalate simple compliance discrepancies or process issues to senior team members for resolution
  • Assist in documenting standard operating procedures related to customs processes as directed
  • Process cost allocations of customs relevant charges to different projects within the business
  • Conduct basic compliance checks on customs entries and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain and organize customs-related records and documentation in accordance with UK regulatory requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
