Cyber and Digital Health Senior Manager
The Cyber and Digital Health Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing complex cybersecurity and digital trust engagements across the UK healthcare market, with a particular focus on the NHS and wider health and social care ecosystem. The successful candidate will bring relevant experience in delivering broad cyber advisory services, including DSPT-CAF readiness and remediation, cyber strategy, governance, risk and assurance, and programmes that enable frontline productivity through secure, resilient and effective use of technology.
Description of the Role
The Cyber and Digital Health Senior Manager will deliver the following activities:
- Manage large and complex cyber strategy engagements, leading multiple workstreams and managing the delivery of other managers within the team.
- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing strategic direction and ensuring high-quality client service delivery.
- Contribute to expanding KPMG’s impact across the UK healthcare market, including the NHS, integrated care systems, health and care providers, and enabling national bodies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare sector, including NHS leaders, digital, cyber, clinical, operational, information governance and transformation teams.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts.
- Support the development of team members as a performance manager, coaching and developing the team, and promoting and supporting a culture of learning and development.

Role Dimensions
This is a senior delivery role responsible for managing multiple teams or workstreams across multiple clients, potentially overseeing other managers within the team.
The position demands:
- High-level stakeholder interaction and challenge, including:
- Internal stakeholders: Business development teams, sales, delivery teams, technical teams, Quality and Risk Management.
- External stakeholders: NHS client stakeholders and decision-makers, wider UK healthcare sector, health and care providers, regulators, and national bodies. Encompassing cybersecurity, digital transformation, clinical operations, information governance, frontline productivity.
Experience
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following skills and experience:
Key Technical Requirements
- Defining cybersecurity strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Designing and implementing Cyber Security Target Operating Models (TOMs), covering people, processes, technologies, governance, and metrics and reporting.
- Creating business cases for cybersecurity investments and securing stakeholder commitment for improvement programs.
- Managing strategic cybersecurity programs, including project management, stakeholder reporting, and outcomes tracking.

Healthcare and Regulatory Expertise
- Understanding and delivery experience with frameworks such as:
- NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and Cyber Assessment Framework (DSPT-CAF)
- National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Assessment Framework
- ISO27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, and other relevant regulatory/assurance requirements.
- Advising on DSPT-CAF readiness, gap analysis, remediation planning, evidence development, assurance, reporting, and sustainable improvement in cyber, information governance, and operational resilience.
- Supporting NHS clients to enhance frontline productivity by integrating cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, clinical technology, governance, and operational improvements for measurable impact.
Foundational Capabilities
- Assessing cybersecurity capabilities against threat landscapes and risk profiles.
- Working knowledge of security architecture principles, governance models, and regulatory requirements (NIS, GDPR).
General Expectations
- Proven ability to lead high-quality, long-term work while inspiring resilience in others.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and influencing techniques.
- Strong relationship-building skills both internally and with senior client stakeholders.
