Cyber & Digital Health (Deployment) – Assistant Manager (D Grade)
This role requires current SC or DV clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain clearance.
About the role
As an Assistant Manager in our Cyber & Digital Health team, you will help healthcare organisations turn digital ambition into practical frontline change. This role is focused on supporting the deployment of digital, data and technology solutions into live clinical and operational environments, ensuring they are implemented safely, effectively and at pace.
You will work with health and care organisations to plan, mobilise and deliver complex digital deployments across technologies such as Electronic Patient Records, Ambient Voice Technology, virtual care, remote monitoring, analytics, automation and AI-enabled solutions.
This is a hands-on delivery role suited to someone who can bring structure, resilience and momentum to complex healthcare transformation programmes — from readiness and mobilisation through to go-live, stabilisation, optimisation and benefits realisation.

What will you be doing?
In this role, you will:
- Lead deployment workstreams that move digital, data and technology solutions from design into live frontline use.
- Support mobilisation, readiness assessment, deployment planning, implementation and adoption activities across clinical and operational settings.
- Coordinate activity across clinical, operational, digital, data, technical, information governance, cyber and supplier teams.
- Support deployment of Electronic Patient Records, Ambient Voice Technology, virtual care, remote monitoring, analytics and other digital health technologies.
- Support cutover planning, command centre activity, go-live support, stabilisation and optimisation.
- Translate deployment plans into practical frontline actions, resolving blockers and maintaining pace across complex stakeholder environments.
- Monitor programme risks, issues, dependencies, readiness criteria, deployment milestones and benefits-related measures.
- Lead programme governance, reporting and assurance activity, with a clear focus on delivery confidence and operational adoption.
- Support transition from deployment into stabilisation, optimisation and benefits realisation phases.
- Apply structured implementation, change, adoption and programme management methodologies to complex healthcare environments.
- Support business development and proposition development linked to digital health deployment, adoption and technology-enabled transformation.

The person
We are looking for someone with strong delivery experience in complex healthcare environments. You will be confident working with frontline clinical and operational teams, programme leadership, technology vendors, digital teams and executive stakeholders.
You will bring a practical, hands-on delivery mindset and be able to create pace, structure and accountability across complex programmes. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, resolving delivery blockers and maintaining focus on critical path, readiness and go-live outcomes.
You will need to build trust with frontline users by understanding operational pressures, clinical workflows and the practical realities of adopting new technology in live care environments.
You will also support analysts and junior team members, sharing practical deployment experience and helping to build strong implementation discipline across the team.
Skills we would love to see
We would love to hear from candidates with experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Experience delivering large-scale healthcare technology deployment programmes in complex clinical or operational environments.
- Experience supporting the deployment of digital, data and technology solutions into frontline healthcare settings.
- Hands-on experience supporting Electronic Patient Record implementations, including readiness, cutover, command centre, go-live, stabilisation, adoption and optimisation.
- Experience deploying or supporting adoption of wider digital health technologies such as Ambient Voice Technology, virtual care, remote monitoring, analytics, automation or AI-enabled solutions.
- Evidence of tenacity in delivery, including the ability to unblock issues, manage ambiguity, sustain momentum and drive action across challenging stakeholder environments.
- Understanding of programme, project, change, adoption and implementation management methodologies.
- Experience managing deployment plans, readiness trackers, RAID logs, risks, dependencies, decision logs, governance forums and delivery reporting.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operational processes, clinical workflows and the practical challenges of implementing technology in live care environments.
- Knowledge of major Electronic Patient Record platforms and associated digital health technologies, suppliers and deployment approaches.
- Ability to work credibly with frontline clinical and operational teams, translating programme objectives into practical actions and adoption plans.
- Strong PowerPoint and executive reporting capability, with the ability to create clear materials for senior stakeholders.
- Strong Excel skills to support programme reporting, delivery performance management and benefits tracking.
- Experience applying GenAI and agentic AI tools to improve programme delivery, reporting, knowledge management and implementation efficiency.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and programme delivery skills.
- Previous experience working within NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems, healthcare Arm’s Length Bodies or healthcare innovation functions would be highly advantageous.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

Location
This role can be based in Birmingham, Leeds, London or Manchester, with travel as required.
