Enso Recruitment and Cyber Security Consultancy Partnership
Enso Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a specialist cyber security consultancy with a global footprint, protecting some of the world's most critical organisations from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
This is a business that works at the sharp end of cyber security, now building out their Belfast team and on the lookout for a Cyber Incident Response Consultant.
The Opportunity
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to develop deep specialist expertise in cyber incident response.
You'll be joining a highly experienced Belfast-based team, working across a diverse client base to investigate, contain, and remediate complex security incidents.
It's a hands-on, high-impact role where no two days are the same, and where the work you do genuinely matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents across the full incident response lifecycle, supporting both retained and non-retained client engagements
- Analyse security logs, network traffic, endpoint telemetry, and other artefacts to identify indicators of compromise, attacker activity, and TTPs
- Develop and implement containment strategies, support eradication activities, and coordinate recovery efforts to minimise business disruption
- Collaborate with client security teams, managed service providers, and senior stakeholders to coordinate response activities and maintain situational awareness
- Produce accurate incident timelines, technical findings, and investigation reports for both technical and management-level audiences
- Provide practical, evidence-based recommendations to improve client security controls and incident response maturity
- Contribute to the development and refinement of incident response playbooks, detection rules, and supporting tools
- Assist in the design and delivery of tabletop exercises and cyber incident simulations to help clients test and improve their readiness

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
