Job Opportunity: Mid-Level Cyber Security GRC Analyst

Contract: 6 months
Working pattern: Approximately 2/3 days per week (Roughly 10 days per month)
Location: Remote, UK
IR35 status: Outside

RED is seeking a mid-level Cyber Security GRC Analyst for a contract opportunity supporting a client’s information-security and compliance programme.

Responsibilities

  • Support Cyber Essentials Plus readiness.
  • Help develop an ISO 27001-aligned information-security framework.
  • Contribute to SOC 2 preparation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security policies, controls, risk registers, and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct gap assessments and track remediation actions.
  • Gather and organise evidence for audits and external assessments.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and the IT supplier to improve security controls.
  • Support knowledge transfer to a graduate so processes can be maintained internally.

Required Skills

  • Practical experience supporting ISO 27001 implementation or audit programmes.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus and SOC 2.
  • Hands-on experience with security documentation, risk assessments, and audit evidence.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

This is a GRC-focused delivery role rather than a SOC monitoring or incident-response position.
