Job Opportunity: Mid-Level Cyber Security GRC Analyst
Contract: 6 months
Working pattern: Approximately 2/3 days per week (Roughly 10 days per month)
Location: Remote, UK
IR35 status: Outside
RED is seeking a mid-level Cyber Security GRC Analyst for a contract opportunity supporting a client’s information-security and compliance programme.
Responsibilities
- Support Cyber Essentials Plus readiness.
- Help develop an ISO 27001-aligned information-security framework.
- Contribute to SOC 2 preparation.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain security policies, controls, risk registers, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct gap assessments and track remediation actions.
- Gather and organise evidence for audits and external assessments.
- Work with internal stakeholders and the IT supplier to improve security controls.
- Support knowledge transfer to a graduate so processes can be maintained internally.

Required Skills
- Practical experience supporting ISO 27001 implementation or audit programmes.
- Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus and SOC 2.
- Hands-on experience with security documentation, risk assessments, and audit evidence.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
This is a GRC-focused delivery role rather than a SOC monitoring or incident-response position.
