About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join a prominent NHS organization engaged in a significant digital transformation project.   • Proven experience in cyber security analysis, preferably within NHS or similar healthcare settings
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)
  • Strong background in Security Operations Centers (SOC) and security monitoring
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and incident response procedures
  • Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Network Detection and Response (NDR)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security Suite
  • Understanding of cyber security frameworks and best practices
  • Relevant professional certifications such as AZ-500, SSCP, or Microsoft Security certifications are desirable

Responsibilities

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of security activities, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring security alerts and responding promptly to potential threats or incidents
  • Investigating cyber security alerts to identify root causes and potential vulnerabilities
  • Analyzing and remediating threats using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and other security tools
  • Managing SIEM, EDR, and NDR alert activity to ensure timely detection and response
  • Supporting cyber incident response processes, including containment, eradication, and recovery
  • Assisting in security investigations, compiling reports, and documenting findings for compliance purposes
  • Collaborating with technical and security teams to develop strategies that enhance cyber resilience
  • Supporting information security and compliance initiatives aligned with NHS standards and regulations

Benefits

This role offers a competitive daily rate of £400, outside IR35, with the flexibility of working fully remotely. The initial contract is for six months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
