The Opportunity
A leading organisation operating within critical infrastructure is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join its growing cybersecurity team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in protecting essential services while helping the organisation navigate an evolving regulatory landscape and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) development, regulatory compliance, security operations, and emerging technology risks, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Role
You will support the organisation's cybersecurity strategy by helping to strengthen compliance, improve security maturity, and embed effective cyber risk management across the business.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Regulatory Compliance & Assurance
- Support cybersecurity compliance activities aligned to UK and European regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain compliance documentation, evidence repositories, and control registers.
- Assist with security incident reporting processes and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor emerging guidance and regulations, assessing their impact on the business.

Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
- Participate in assessments against recognised cybersecurity frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities and support remediation activities.
- Develop evidence packs, improvement plans, and assurance documentation.
- Work closely with technical and operational teams to embed security best practices.
AI Security & Emerging Technology
- Support the secure adoption of AI technologies and services.
- Assist with risk assessments and security reviews of emerging technologies.
- Help develop guidance around data protection, governance, and responsible AI use.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats associated with AI and advance awareness across the organisation.
Cybersecurity Operations
- Support security monitoring and vulnerability management activities.
- Assist with incident response and cyber risk assessments.
- Contribute to supplier and third-party security reviews.
- Support the development of security policies, standards, and awareness initiatives.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with cybersecurity professionals who can demonstrate:
- Experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT Risk, Governance, or Information Assurance
- Understanding of security disciplines such as:
- Risk Management
- Access Controls
- Network Security
- Threat Detection & Monitoring
- Incident Response
- Knowledge of regulatory or compliance frameworks such as:
- CAF
- NIS / NIS2
- ISO 27001
- GDPR
- Other governance or assurance frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A genuine interest in emerging technologies and the impact of AI on cybersecurity
