Cyber Security Analyst - Government, SIEM, Splunk, AWS, M365, Defence, SC Clearance, Hybrid, £700
We are seeking a skilled SC Cleared Cyber Defence Analyst to join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and improving our cyber security capabilities. This role involves working closely with other Cyber Defence functions to support ongoing enhancements, developing internal plans and knowledge base articles, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Cyber Defence teams to support continuous capability improvements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of plans, playbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Act as an escalation point for cyber incidents and provide coaching and mentoring to apprentice security analysts.
- Line management responsibilities for apprentice security analysts.

Requirements:
- Experience investigating and responding to cyber incidents.
- Proficiency with security tools such as EDR and SIEM solutions to support incident response.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar).
- An understanding of techniques, tools, and procedures used by threat actors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Splunk.
- Experience working within an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
This role requires active SC clearance.
