About The Role
The Graduate Cyber Security Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and IT to kickstart their careers within a dynamic and supportive environment. Based in Durham, this hybrid position combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility, allowing you to develop your skills while maintaining work-life balance. You will work closely with the IT Manager, receiving one-on-one training tailored to your career aspirations and current skill level. This role involves actively participating in a variety of IT projects, including cyber security threat analysis, user education initiatives, and crisis management planning. Your contributions will directly influence the organization’s security posture, helping to safeguard critical information and infrastructure. As a vital member of the team, you will have the opportunity to learn about the latest cybersecurity threats, implement security protocols, and contribute to the development of policies that protect the organization from evolving cyber risks. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a background in Cyber Security, IT, or related fields seeking practical experience and professional growth in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and IT security protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated with a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
- Commutable to Durham and able to work in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cyber security threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of crisis management procedures in the event of a security breach.
- Coordinate with various departments to enhance cyber security measures and awareness.
- Participate in the rollout of IT projects, including phishing email campaigns to test user awareness.
- Deliver training and educational sessions to staff on safe online practices and security protocols.
- Monitor security systems and respond to potential threats or incidents.
- Support the review and improvement of existing security policies and procedures.
