Hybrid, with the ability to attend our Nottingham or Bristol SOC locations as required.
Salary
Up to: £27,625
Eligibility
Must be eligible for SC Clearance (UK resident for the last 5 years) and NPPV2 clearance
Available shifts
- Shift pattern 1: 09:00 - 17:30. Monday - Friday. (No shift allowance)
- Shift Pattern 2: 24/7 operation: 4 on, 4 off, rotating days and nights (07:00 to 19:00 / 19:00 to 07:00). (20% shift allowance)
- Shift pattern 3: 24/7 operation: 4 on, 4 off rotating day and night shifts. Day shifts range between 07:00 and 23:00, with night shifts operating 22:00 to 08:00. (20% shift allowance)

The role
At Littlefish Group, our Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) plays a critical role in helping customers defend against an ever-changing threat landscape. We're looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join the team, supporting the monitoring, investigation and response to security events across a diverse customer base.
We're looking for individuals who already have a strong technical foundation and can demonstrate an understanding of cyber security principles, whether gained through a Service Desk, infrastructure, technical support or cyber security role.

As part of our SOC team, you'll be responsible for investigating and responding to potential cyber security threats, helping customers protect their systems, services and data. Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Monitoring and triaging security alerts across customer environments.
- Investigating suspicious activity and identifying genuine security incidents.
- Taking appropriate response actions or escalating threats where required.
- Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Supporting vulnerability management and threat hunting activities.
- Maintaining accurate investigation records and incident documentation.
- Contributing to service improvements, knowledge articles, operational procedures and detection capabilities.
What we need
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd Line Service Desk, infrastructure support, technical support or cyber security role.
- An understanding of cyber security threats, attack methods and incident response concepts.
- Knowledge of server, endpoint and network technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess information and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
- Exposure to Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or similar security technologies.
- Experience of cyber security incident response or vulnerability management activities.
- Security certifications such as SC-900, SC-200, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of KQL, PowerShell or scripting.
