Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst
Location: Reading – 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 6 months
Clearance: SC desirable but not essential
Start: As soon as possible
We are recruiting for an experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join a leading organisation on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a hands-on, tactical Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) role focused on monitoring and analysing cyber threat intelligence feeds, assessing emerging threats and providing intelligence to support cyber defence and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse internal and external cyber threat intelligence feeds.
- Assess emerging threats, threat actors, Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
- Produce threat alerts, intelligence reports and stakeholder briefings.
- Support security operations and proactive threat hunting activities.
- Use the MITRE ATT&CK framework to analyse and map adversary behaviour.
- Apply threat modelling methodologies to assess cyber threats.
- Support cyber investigations and security operations within a live enterprise environment.
- Contribute to threat intelligence use cases, detections and monitoring capabilities.
- Support the identification and assessment of threats affecting Operational Technology (OT) environments.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) experience at a tactical or operational level.
- Experience monitoring and analysing threat intelligence feeds.
- Experience producing threat alerts, intelligence reports and stakeholder briefings.
- Strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Good understanding of threat modelling methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of cyber threat actors, TTPs and IOCs.
- Experience working within a live enterprise security environment.
- Understanding of OT security.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within the energy or utilities sector.
- Financial services or banking experience.
- Experience within a highly regulated environment.
- Exposure to UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) security frameworks.
- Awareness of NIS Regulations.
- Knowledge of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
- Experience mapping threat intelligence findings and recommendations to CAF objectives.
- Existing SC Clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain clearance.
Important
We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on operational CTI experience who have been embedded within an organisation and have direct responsibility for monitoring, analysing and reporting on cyber threats.
Candidates whose experience is primarily consultancy-based, with limited day-to-day operational CTI responsibilities, are less likely to be suitable.
