We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Cyber Security Architect (Zero Trust) to play a key role in designing and leading enterprise-wide security architecture initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence strategic cyber security outcomes, drive Zero Trust adoption, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance security across complex technology environments.
The Role
As an Enterprise Cyber Security Architect, you will provide strategic leadership across enterprise security architecture, governance, and technical assurance activities. You will help define the future-state security architecture, establish security standards and design patterns, and ensure consistent implementation of Zero Trust principles across the organization.
Working closely with senior business, technology, and security stakeholders, you will translate business objectives into scalable and secure security architectures while supporting risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and long-term cyber resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Security Architecture
- Define and maintain enterprise-wide Zero Trust target architectures.
- Develop security reference architectures, design standards, architecture principles, and implementation patterns.
- Create and review architecture artefacts, including high-level and detailed solution designs.
- Establish governance processes, technical assurance frameworks, and architecture review mechanisms.
- Promote consistency, interoperability, and alignment across security and technology domains.
Zero Trust Strategy & Transformation
- Translate business priorities, regulatory requirements, and cyber security objectives into strategic architecture roadmaps.
- Define capability frameworks, maturity models, and transition architectures.
- Support technology evaluations, product selection, and architecture decision-making processes.
- Drive the adoption of modern security capabilities aligned to Zero Trust principles.

Identity & Access Management
- Contribute to the design and evolution of security architectures covering:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM)
- Single Sign-On (SSO) and Federation
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Passwordless Authentication
- Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
- Conditional Access Controls
Network Security & Segmentation
- Design enterprise network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies.
- Define secure access models for cloud, hybrid, remote workforce, third-party, and operational technology environments.
- Support the implementation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Network Access Control (NAC), and secure remote access solutions.
- Develop modern approaches to replacing traditional VPN technologies and enhancing secure connectivity.
Data Protection & Information Security
- Contribute to security architectures focused on:
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Data Encryption and Cryptographic Controls
- Key Management
- Data Governance
- Information Rights Management
- Secure Data Sharing and Collaboration
- Ensure data protection controls align with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Provide architectural guidance aligned with recognized cyber security frameworks and standards.
- Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments, and control evaluations.
- Define risk treatment approaches and exception management processes.
- Support regulatory, audit, and compliance activities across security programmes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior technology, security, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate architecture workshops, technical reviews, and governance forums.
- Support and mentor architects, engineers, and technical teams.
- Present architecture recommendations, security risks, and strategic investment proposals to leadership audiences.
What We’re Looking For
We are interested in professionals who can demonstrate experience in one or more of the following:
- Enterprise Security Architecture
- Zero Trust Architecture and Transformation
- Cyber Security Governance and Risk Management
- Identity and Access Management
- Network Security and Segmentation
- Cloud Security Architecture
- Data Protection and Information Security
- Security Frameworks and Regulatory Compliance
- Architecture Governance and Technology Strategy
You may have gained your experience within consulting, financial services, utilities, telecommunications, public sector, or other highly regulated environments.
Preferred Certifications
The following certifications would be advantageous:
- CISSP
- CCSP
- Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)
- TOGAF
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Certifications or equivalent
