Cyber Security Specialist
Location: UK Hybrid
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

The Opportunity
F5 are partnering with an award-winning consultancy that specialises in delivering technology, data and transformation solutions to organisations operating within complex and highly regulated environments.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to help design, implement and assure security controls across cloud, infrastructure and application environments. This is a client-facing position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging programmes whilst acting as a trusted security advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security architectures across cloud, infrastructure and application platforms.
- Conduct security assurance and design reviews across programmes and projects.
- Perform risk assessments, threat modelling and vulnerability management activities.
- Support compliance with recognised frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Lead security improvements across Azure environments.
- Configure, manage and optimise Microsoft Defender security solutions.
- Design and develop SIEM and automation use cases within Microsoft Sentinel.
- Support incident response, threat detection and security monitoring activities.
- Embed DevSecOps principles into software development and delivery processes.
- Develop security policies, standards and procedures.
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted cyber security advisor.
- Mentor and support junior consultants and contribute to internal capability development.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within Cyber Security roles in enterprise or complex environments.
- Strong understanding of:
- Cloud Security (Azure, AWS or similar)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Network Security
- Endpoint Protection
- Security Operations and Monitoring
- ISO 27001, NIST and CIS frameworks
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM)
- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Azure Security & Posture Management
- Threat Modelling
- Vulnerability Management
- Security Risk Assessments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required.

Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or infrastructure programmes.
- Secure systems integration and API security knowledge.
- Understanding of supply chain security risks.
- Experience within government, defence, logistics or regulated sectors.
- Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
