Security Consultant Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Consultant to join a highly regarded cyber security consulting team delivering complex digital transformation programmes across the Public Sector, Defence, Central Government, and Healthcare.
This role offers the chance to work on nationally significant programmes, helping organisations strengthen their cyber resilience while designing secure, scalable technology solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, engineers, business leaders, and technical specialists to embed security into major transformation initiatives from strategy through to implementation.

The Role
The Security Consultant will provide cyber security expertise across large-scale transformation programmes, ensuring security is embedded throughout the solution lifecycle.
Working with clients and multidisciplinary delivery teams, they will assess risk, develop secure architectures, advise on regulatory compliance, and help organisations adopt modern security practices that support long-term digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Design secure architectures for enterprise technology solutions and large digital transformation programmes.
- Provide cyber security guidance throughout the delivery of complex business and technology initiatives.
- Advise clients on security best practice, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop security strategies that reduce organisational risk while enabling business objectives.
- Perform security risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities within solution architectures.
- Communicate technical security concepts and risk mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of secure reference architectures and threat models.
- Research emerging threats, technologies, and innovative approaches to solving complex cyber security challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure security is integrated across all phases of project delivery.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cyber security consulting and a genuine passion for improving security across critical UK organisations.
Applicants should demonstrate experience in:
- Cyber security architecture and secure solution design.
- Security risk management and governance.
- Enterprise security technologies, including:
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Network Security
- Encryption technologies
- Threat modelling and secure reference architecture development.
- IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and modern technology design principles.
- Advising clients on recognised security standards and frameworks, including:
- ISO 27001
- NIST
- GDPR
- PCI-DSS
- Communicating effectively with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and programme leadership.
- Working within large-scale technology transformation programmes.
- Exposure to Cloud Security and Network Security would be highly advantageous.

Desired Qualifications
The organisation is particularly interested in professionals who hold, or are working towards, industry-recognised certifications such as:
- CISSP
- SABSA
- Or equivalent cyber security certifications
Candidates who currently hold SC or DV Security Clearance, or who are eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance, are encouraged to apply.
