Cyber Security Consultant | Remote with travel to customer sites when required

I'm working with a leading technology services business who are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join their growing Cyber Security team.

The role combines hands-on cyber security with customer-facing consulting, working with businesses to understand their security requirements, identify risks and provide practical recommendations. You’ll need to be confident communicating with customers and senior stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear advice.

Candidates from an MSP, MSSP or similar customer-focused technology environment are particularly preferred.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with customers to define the scope and objectives of security assessments
  • Delivering infrastructure penetration testing
  • Delivering Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
  • Carrying out vulnerability assessments
  • Identifying security gaps and providing practical remediation guidance
  • Communicating technical findings clearly to customers and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting pre-sales and post-sales activity where required
  • Working with vendors around product updates, technical issues and improvements
  • Maintaining quality processes and operational documentation
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of technical capability within the team
  • Keeping up to date with emerging threats, technologies and security best practice

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
