We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at First Hydro Company, part of ENGIE, to help defend the operational technology and information systems that keep our hydro assets running safely and reliably.

Summary Of What You Will Do
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of cyber security controls across IT and operational technology environments.
- Assist with security incident detection, investigation, and response activities to protect critical energy infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability management activities, including scanning, remediation tracking, and security log reviews.
- Support the deployment of security solutions such as multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, privileged access management, and monitoring tools.
- Assist with secure configuration of equipment and participate in security testing and validation activities.
- Deliver small projects within agreed timescales and contribute to the company's IT strategy and investment plans.
- Provide first-line technical support and guidance to colleagues on cyber security best practices.

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Degree or equivalent qualification and experience in IT, Computing, or Electronic Engineering.
- Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining cyber security controls in operational environments.
- Good knowledge of cyber security principles, particularly Industrial Cyber Security and OT environments.
- Familiarity with Windows PC and Server operating systems, networking protocols, and Android mobile device configuration.
- Understanding of power industry operations and the business processes that IT systems support.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multifunctional teams.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Location
This is a site based role from Dinorwig Power Station (Llanberis). Travel to other First Hydro sites will also be required.
