Cyber Security Engineer
Location: London (Flex-hybrid)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Package
NOTE: Candidates must be eligible for un-caveated UK Security Clearance (SC).
Join a growing cyber security team working on complex, high-impact environments across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures. This is an excellent opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer who enjoys a mix of engineering, security operations, automation, and infrastructure security, while working with modern security technologies and threat detection capabilities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across infrastructure, applications, and platforms.
- Supporting security monitoring and threat detection capabilities through SIEM technologies and log management.
- Automating security processes and tooling using scripting and infrastructure automation techniques.
- Managing and securing network infrastructure, firewalls, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Conducting security assessments and infrastructure reviews against recognised security standards and benchmarks.
- Collaborating with engineering and security teams to embed security best practices throughout the technology lifecycle.
- Supporting vulnerability management, endpoint security, and incident response activities where required.

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' commercial experience working in a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Operations, or Infrastructure Security role.
- Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, platform engineering, and security fundamentals.
- Experience with SIEM technologies such as Splunk, Sentinel, ELK, Cribl, or similar.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
- Scripting or programming experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Exposure to vulnerability management, IDS/IPS technologies, endpoint security, and security monitoring.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to security.
