Cyber Security Engineer
Hybrid (Manchester 2 days a week)
Salary up to £80,000
up to 10% Annual Bonus
TCM Partners currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our client's Global Information Security team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work across cloud security, threat hunting, and incident response, while also having the chance to develop their skills across emerging technologies.
You’ll join a Cyber Operations team of approximately 9 people, supported by an external Managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider. The team plays a key role in protecting the organisation and responding to an evolving threat landscape.
You’ll be focused on assessing and enhancing cloud security, developing security roadmaps, and providing expert guidance around secure architecture and operational best practice.

The environment is currently heavily Microsoft-focused, with exciting plans to expand into GCP and AI, giving you plenty of opportunity to broaden your technical skill set and work with new technologies.
The Role Involves
- Cyber Security Threat hunting and proactive security investigations
- Hands-on use of Microsoft Defender
- Investigating, managing, and resolving security incidents end-to-end
- Working across a Windows Server environment
- Assessing and improving cloud security
- Supporting secure architecture and cyber security best practices
- Developing your knowledge across GCP and AI security

Skills Required
They’re looking for an experienced Cyber Security professional who has:
- Strong hands-on experience within a Cyber Security Engineering environment more so than Information Security.
- Solid threat hunting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender.
- Have worked in a Cloud environment (Microsoft Azure or GCP).
- Strong incident investigation and response skills.
- Experience working within a Windows environment.
- A genuine interest in cloud security and emerging technologies.
