Senior Cyber Security Engineer
Hybrid remote in Bristol (1-2 days a week)
Up to £76 p/h Inside IR35
SC clearance is essential
We are looking for a security cleared Senior Cyber Engineer to support the delivery of cyber and information security across a range of advanced products and systems. You’ll work closely with engineering teams and product specialists, delivering cyber security throughout the full engineering lifecycle from requirements definition and secure design through to in-service support and maintenance.
Key skills
- Live security clearance (SC)
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in a Cyber Security, Cyber Engineering, or related engineering role.
- Experience contributing to MOD accreditation and Secure by Design processes, including ISN2023/09 and associated policies and practices across the product lifecycle.
- Experience managing cyber security risks and services in line with customer, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
- Exposure to proprietary/open-source software, firmware, and electronic hardware.
- Understanding of product architectures incorporating technologies such as electro-optics, radar, and laser systems.
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) and relevant standards such as IEC 62443.
- Experience developing, evaluating, and analyzing design constraints and detailed system/security designs from a cyber security perspective.
- Experience working with cyber security requirements through to system control level.
- Experience conducting cyber and information security risk assessments, including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and assessment of mitigations.
