Cyber Security Engineer

Fully Remote | £50,000 | UK Applicants Only

My client is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing cyber security team, supporting customers with the deployment, configuration and ongoing improvement of modern security solutions.

This is a technical, hands-on position with a strong customer-facing element. You’ll work across multiple client environments, providing engineering expertise across security platforms, cloud technologies, SIEM/SOAR and wider security operations. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to technical projects, advise customers, produce documentation and work alongside experienced security consultants and engineers.

The Role

• Deploy, configure and support security technologies across customer environments.
• Lead or support migrations from existing security platforms to new solutions.
• Work with technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Palo Alto and Google SecOps.
• Troubleshoot security platforms by analyzing logs, investigating issues and working with vendor support teams where required.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve security operations and reduce manual processes.
• Support SIEM and SOAR deployments, configuration and ongoing optimization.
• Assist with security assessments, technical reviews and customer requirements.
• Produce clear technical documentation, reports and architecture diagrams.
• Work directly with technical and non-technical customers, explaining solutions and providing practical guidance.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
• Occasionally provide out-of-hours support for planned migrations, cutovers or maintenance.
