We're working with a large-scale organisation undergoing significant investment in its cyber security capabilities. This is an opportunity to step into one of the most influential technical security roles within a cutting-edge environment.
The Role
- Become the internal technical authority for Security Operations tooling, Detection Engineering, and security platform optimisation.
- Define how the organisation detects, investigates, and responds to cyber threats.
- Take ownership of industry-leading technologies, including Google SecOps, CrowdStrike, and Darktrace.
- Drive improvements across automation, AI-assisted investigations, and next-generation Security Operations.
- Act as the technical bridge between Security Operations, Security Engineering, Architecture, and an outsourced Security Operations partner.
- Dedicate significant focus to Detection Engineering and platform ownership, with the remaining time supporting operational improvements and incident assurance.

What You'll Need
- Experience with Google SecOps, CrowdStrike, and Darktrace.
- Expertise in Detection Engineering, including rule creation, tuning, and optimisation.
- Strong background in Enterprise Security Operations and incident investigation.
- Proficiency in SIEM administration and security platform management.
- Proven ability to improve detection coverage within complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with security automation, SOAR, AI-driven Security Operations, or Threat Intelligence integration is a plus.
