Cyber Security Engineer

12-Month FTC | Up to c. £75,000 | Hybrid: 1 day/week in South London

We are currently partnering with a client who are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to help drive several key security initiatives across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing technology function and play a pivotal role in enhancing the company's security posture, supporting the delivery of security projects, and ensuring systems, applications and infrastructure remain secure, resilient and compliant.

Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of security controls, processes and technologies across the wider estate.

Why this role?

  • Own a key security capability: Take the lead on vulnerability management and help define what "good" looks like.
  • Work on real transformation: Contribute to ransomware resilience, network and backup segmentation, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Build modern security capability: Support automation, ServiceNow integration, remediation workflows, and security maturity improvements.
  • Get exposure to AI security: Work around Copilot, AI agents, Purview, and data security compliance.
  • Broad technical remit: Microsoft security, SIEM, incident response, cloud/SaaS security, identity, and network security.
  • Room to grow: The team is investing in capability, and strong performers may have scope to extend their contract or move into future permanent roles.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
