Cyber Security Engineer Lead
We're recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer Lead to play a key role in delivering complex cyber security engineering initiatives across enterprise environments. This is a hands-on position where you'll work across security operations, cloud security, detection engineering, vulnerability management, and cyber defence tooling, helping to design, implement, and enhance security capabilities while supporting long-term operational ownership.
You'll collaborate closely with architects, infrastructure teams, suppliers, and security stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes, contribute to technology strategy, and ensure security controls are embedded across both cloud and on-premises environments. The role offers the opportunity to influence security tooling, frameworks, processes, and operating models while providing technical leadership and guidance to wider teams.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, infrastructure teams, suppliers, and security stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and enhance security capabilities.
- Support long-term operational ownership.
- Influence security tooling, frameworks, processes, and operating models.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance.
Requirements
- Strong experience within a mature cyber security function.
- Expertise in SIEM, EDR, DLP, CSPM/CNAPP, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Solid background in AWS and Azure security, network and infrastructure security.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/AWS CDK).
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, C#, or Go.
- Experience in digital forensics, incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, digital forensics, and DevSecOps environments is highly advantageous.

Contract Details
- Inside IR35
- 6-month duration
- Onsite once a month in central London
