Cyber Security Intern (Remote – United Kingdom)

Our client is seeking motivated and security-focused Cyber Security Interns to join their remote team in the United Kingdom. Position Details

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and alerts.
- Support vulnerability assessments and basic security testing activities.
- Help identify, investigate, and report potential security risks.
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity policies and best practices.
- Conduct security research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Support incident response activities and documentation.
- Perform basic network and system security assessments.
- Assist in reviewing security logs and preparing security reports.
- Collaborate with team members to improve security awareness and compliance.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies.

Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in cyber security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Security, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPN).
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Knowledge of common cybersecurity concepts, including malware, phishing, firewalls, and encryption.
- Basic understanding of vulnerability assessment and risk management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning.
