Cyber Security Intern

About the Role
We are hiring a Cyber Security Intern on behalf of our client to support their cybersecurity and information security initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in protecting digital environments, understanding security risks, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen organizational security.
The selected candidate will work alongside experienced professionals and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to real-world cybersecurity practices, security processes, and risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring and reviewing security-related activities and potential risks.
- Support the identification and assessment of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist with security assessments, risk reviews, and internal security initiatives.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Help document security incidents, findings, observations, and recommended actions.
- Assist in reviewing security alerts and escalating potential issues to the appropriate teams.
- Contribute to vulnerability management and security improvement activities.
- Support research into emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and industry developments.
- Assist with maintaining security documentation, reports, and records.
- Collaborate with IT, technology, and business teams on security-related projects.
- Participate in cybersecurity awareness and best-practice initiatives.
- Support ad-hoc security projects and activities as assigned.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, security risks, and information protection.
- Academic, personal, or project experience related to cybersecurity will be considered an advantage.
- Strong interest in developing a career in cybersecurity or information security.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and collaborate with team members.
