I’m supporting a leading organisation within the UK energy sector looking for an experienced Cyber Security Lead / SME to support a high-profile programme focused on the cyber security and resilience of smart energy technologies.
This is a senior, technically focused role covering security architecture, cyber risk, assurance and governance, working closely with regulators and key stakeholders across the UK energy market.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide SME leadership across cyber security, security architecture and cyber risk.
- Develop and maintain Threat & Risk Assessments and associated risk treatment plans.
- Support Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) assurance and cyber resilience audits.
- Advise on security standards, controls, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Work with senior industry, regulatory and government stakeholders.
- Support security requirements relating to smart energy devices, IoT and flexibility markets.
We’re looking for:

- Active SC Clearance is essential.
- Strong Security Architecture and Cyber Risk experience.
- Extensive knowledge of NIS and NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
- Experience conducting ISO 27001 audits and cyber resilience assessments.
- Strong understanding of cyber threats, risk assessment and security controls.
- Experience within the energy/utilities sector.
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and CISSP qualifications.
