Cyber Security Manager – Resources

Salary: £80,000 – £105,000
Location: London

The Opportunity

A leading global technology and consulting organisation is looking for a Cyber Security Manager to join its growing Resources Security practice. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced cyber security consultant or manager to work across the Energy, Utilities, Chemicals and Resources sectors, helping major organisations strengthen their security posture, manage cyber risk and deliver complex security transformation programmes. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, account teams and technical specialists, combining cyber advisory, delivery leadership, client management and business development.

The Role

As a Cyber Security Manager, you will lead cybersecurity consulting engagements from initiation through to delivery, providing strategic advice and practical recommendations to improve security resilience and compliance.

You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, lead project teams and contribute to the growth of the Resources Security practice through account development, bids and new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cybersecurity projects and programmes from initiation through to delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Conduct security assessments, workshops and cyber risk reviews.
  • Provide practical recommendations to strengthen security resilience and compliance.
  • Advise clients across areas including Cyber Strategy, GRC, OT Security, Security Operations, IAM and AI Security.
  • Support the design and implementation of security improvements.
  • Develop security frameworks, policies and governance approaches.
  • Identify new opportunities across existing and prospective client accounts.
  • Support proposals, bids and wider sales activity.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Resources Security practice.
  • Manage, coach and develop security consultants.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, industry engagement and capability development.

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in cybersecurity consulting, advisory or programme delivery.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CAF and NIS.
  • Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and complex programmes.
  • Strong knowledge across one or more areas such as OT Security, Security Operations, IAM, Cyber Strategy or Risk Management.
  • Experience contributing to business development, account growth and proposals.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Experience within Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing or Critical National Infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of AI-related security risks and emerging technologies would be advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP or CRISC are desirable.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS and SC security clearance, including the required UK residency/address history.
