Cybersecurity Technical Project Manager
💰 £400/day (Inside IR35)
📍 Glasgow, UK (3 days onsite)
📅 12-Month Contract
Drive critical cybersecurity programmes within a leading financial services environment.
Our client, a top global organization, is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Technical Project Manager to lead complex security and encryption-focused initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment. As a Cybersecurity Technical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing complex technical workstreams focused on encryption, key management, and secure communications. You'll coordinate delivery across multiple teams, manage project governance, and ensure programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity and encryption-focused projects.
- Manage project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery across technical teams.
- Work closely with engineering and security specialists to deliver secure technology solutions.
- Track project progress using Jira, Confluence, and reporting dashboards.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear updates for business stakeholders.
- Facilitate planning sessions, governance meetings, and project reviews.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and drive successful delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 10+ years' experience managing complex technical projects.
- Strong experience delivering cybersecurity or encryption-focused programmes.
- Excellent understanding of encryption technologies, key management, secret management, and secure communication protocols.
- Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence, and project tracking tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive delivery mindset.

Desirable Skills
- Experience delivering security transformation programmes within financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise security architecture and cyber governance.
- Relevant project management or Agile certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe) are advantageous.
