Cyber Security Officer

Location: London (3 days a week onsite)

Salary: £61,500

The Opportunity

VIQU have partnered with an established UK organisation that is looking to appoint a Cyber Security Officer to join its IT & Digital team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cyber security professional to take ownership of the organisation's security posture, ensuring the protection of business-critical systems, infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the organisation's cyber security framework.
  • Create and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to cyber security threats and incidents.
  • Manage vulnerability management, patching, and remediation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and data protection legislation.
  • Manage identity and access management controls.
  • Provide security guidance for cloud services and technology projects.
  • Lead cyber-related change management activities.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, making recommendations to strengthen the organisation's security posture.

  • Minimum five years' experience in a Cyber Security or Information Security role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft security technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, governance, and best practice.
  • Security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials.
