Cyber Security Project Manager (Contract)

Contract: £450 per day Outside IR35

Remote working (Occasional travel)

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to join a leading telecommunications organisation, helping to shape and drive the delivery of key cyber security initiatives.

This is a hands-on delivery role suited to an individual with a strong track record of managing cyber security projects within large-scale telco environments. You will be responsible for leading multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of multiple cyber security projects and workstreams
  • Drive project planning, execution, governance, and reporting
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones
  • Produce clear metrics, dashboards, and updates for senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across security, technology, and business functions
  • Support cyber resilience and security improvement programmes
  • Ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives, timelines, and budgets
  • Maintain effective stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Project Manager within a telecommunications environment
  • Strong cyber resilience and cyber security programme delivery experience
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and workstreams
  • Excellent project governance, reporting, and communication skills
  • Track record of delivering complex cyber security initiatives from inception through to completion
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders

Applicants must have previous telecommunications (telco) experience and proven Cyber Security Project Management experience. These are essential requirements. Candidates without both telco and cyber project delivery experience will not be considered.
