Cyber Sec Project Manager – Utilities - 3 Months (Initial) - £550p/d (Inside of IR35)

Location: Reading (3 days onsite)
Salary/Rate: £550p/d (Inside of IR35)

A leading organisation within the utilities sector is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to deliver a range of security and operational resilience initiatives.

You will manage cyber security projects from planning through to implementation, working closely with Security, Technology, Operations and third-party suppliers.

The role will involve managing project plans, budgets, risks, dependencies and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cyber security projects through the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, governance and reporting.
  • Coordinate internal teams, technical specialists and external suppliers.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change controls.
  • Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
  • Ensure projects meet relevant security, regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Support the delivery of initiatives across areas such as incident response, data protection, identity and access management, security infrastructure and disaster recovery.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience delivering cyber security or technology projects.
  • Experience working within utilities, critical national infrastructure or another regulated environment.
  • Strong project governance, planning and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working with technical security teams and translating complex information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and multiple workstreams.
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and regulatory requirements would be beneficial.
  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, AgilePM or PMP would be advantageous.
