Location: London – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Contract: 12 months

Sector: Banking / Financial Services

About The Role

On behalf of our client, a leading global banking and financial services organisation, we are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to join their cyber security team on a 12-month contract based in London.

The successful candidate will initially be responsible for delivering a Firewall Rule Remediation Project, working closely with cyber security, network infrastructure, risk and compliance teams.

Beyond this initial project, there will be opportunities to manage a range of cyber security initiatives planned for FY2027, covering network security, firewall governance, data protection, cloud security, AI security and technology improvements.

We are looking for someone with a solid background in IT and cyber security project delivery who understands the technology well enough to work confidently with technical teams, manage stakeholders and drive projects through to successful completion.

This is a project management role rather than a hands-on engineering position. Strong delivery experience, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the Firewall Rule Remediation Project, ensuring agreed objectives, milestones and timelines are achieved.
  • Coordinate network security, infrastructure and cyber security teams to review and remediate firewall rules.
  • Manage project plans, budgets, risks, dependencies and stakeholder communications.
  • Work closely with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support the delivery of additional cyber security projects throughout FY2027.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, documentation and progress updates.
  • Identify and resolve delivery challenges, escalating risks and issues where necessary.
  • Ensure projects align with internal security policies, risk management and regulatory requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
