We are working with a leading global law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced IT Cyber Security Specialist to join its growing Technology function in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation, taking ownership of key cybersecurity capabilities and helping to shape the security architecture, infrastructure and resilience of a complex international IT environment.
Working within a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening the firm's security posture, leading incident response activities and delivering strategic security improvements across its global operations.
The role offers an excellent blend of hands-on technical security engineering, incident response, vulnerability management and security architecture, with the opportunity to influence the firm's wider cybersecurity strategy.

- Incident Response & Threat Management: Lead investigations into security incidents, identify emerging threats and coordinate remediation activities across technical teams.
- Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess and mitigate security vulnerabilities across global infrastructure, cloud environments and enterprise systems.
- Security Architecture: Evaluate and implement security technologies, ensuring infrastructure designs align with security best practices and organisational policies.
- Microsoft Security & Infrastructure: Strengthen security across Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure and Intune.
- Security Compliance: Lead Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation activities, monitor security performance and drive ongoing improvements.
- Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Develop and enhance resilience strategies to protect critical business services.
- Security Projects: Lead and contribute to global infrastructure and cybersecurity projects, from initial architecture and design through to implementation.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a senior security subject matter expert, supporting complex incidents and collaborating with infrastructure, operations and third-party teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
