Cyber Security Trainer
📍 Remote with onsite training delivery in Shrivenham
💷 £550 per day | Inside IR35
📅 6-month initial contract
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Trainer / Cyber Security SME to support a major Defence Cyber Training Services programme.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on cyber security expertise with the ability to translate real-world incidents, threats, and technical concepts into engaging, scenario-based training for defence learners.

- Deliver technical Cyber Security and Incident Response training
- Develop practical labs, simulations, and scenario-based cyber exercises
- Translate real-world cyber incidents and threat activity into structured learning
- Provide SME guidance across cyber operations, threats, detection, and investigation
- Develop engaging technical training materials and assessments
- Ensure training aligns with MOD and relevant industry standards
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong Incident Response experience
- Strong Threat Detection and Investigation knowledge
- Good understanding of Network Security
- Hands-on experience with cyber security monitoring and analytical tooling
- Elastic / ELK or similar platforms - Desirable
- Experience delivering technical training, cyber exercises, simulations, or practical labs
- Ability to communicate complex cyber concepts to audiences with varying technical experience
- Knowledge of DSAT / JSP 822 would be advantageous
