Cyber Software Engineer
Salary - £55,000 - £70,000 + bonus
Location – Cheltenham
Clearance – eDV clearance required

Our client is a growing cyber security team, and they need a hands-on engineer who wants to build, break and research, not spend their days in meetings.
The role
You'll be writing real code on real cyber projects. Some leadership and mentoring may come your way, but the heart of this job is development, problem-solving and applied research.

What you'll be doing
- Designing, building and maintaining secure software across the full lifecycle.
- Working with a small, close-knit team to deliver quality work on time.
- Talking directly to customers and stakeholders to shape what gets built.
- Contributing to applied research that pushes their cyber capabilities forward.
- Sharing knowledge with peers and occasionally guiding junior engineers.
What you'll bring

- Solid software engineering experience with a strong grasp of secure coding.
- Low-level desktop development experience on Windows and Linux.
- Strength in one or more programming languages, and appetite to pick up new ones when projects call for it.
- Curiosity: you like chasing down tough problems and testing new ideas.
- The drive to work independently and the instinct to collaborate.
