Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant 2 / Concierge Security Engineer 2 in Newcastle to be part of making this happen.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with senior cybersecurity engineers and contribute to real-world client projects.
  • You are the customer's point of contact for inquiries regarding security incidents reported by our Security Operations Center (SOC) and, together with the team, you analyze structural weaknesses of the customer.
  • Help create technical reports and documentation to support customer environments.
  • Troubleshoot security and technical issues with guidance from your team.
  • Share basic security best practices with non-technical contacts.
  • Build professional, trust-based relationships with customers.
  • Analyze logs and events to identify patterns or potential threats.
  • Continuously develop your skills through mentoring and hands-on experience.

Your Profile:

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields.
  • Familiarity with network security, cloud infrastructure, SaaS tools, and identity management.
  • Exposure to risk and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication skills in both English – verbal and written.
  • Analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach.
  • Comfortable working in a team and eager to grow professionally.

Technical Skills

  • Technical Skills in at least 4 of these areas:
    • Networking Basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, and common network protocols.
    • Operating Systems: Basic knowledge of hardening Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
    • Security Tools: Familiarity with firewalls, antivirus, and IDS/IPS systems.
    • Scripting: Basic understanding of Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Vulnerability Assessment: Experience using tools like Nmap, Nessus, or OpenVAS.
    • Incident Response: Foundational knowledge in managing and responding to security incidents.
    • Security Frameworks: Awareness of common frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.

The base salary range for this job family is 44,000 to 133,000 GBP annually. This range reflects the base pay the company reasonably expects to offer for this position, aligned to the broader job family base pay structure. Actual base pay may vary based on skills, experience, and location, including job family level. In addition to base pay, Arctic Wolf offers variable incentive compensation, new hire equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
