Help Ambitious Businesses Build, Scale, and Navigate Change

Altern8 Legal was built around a belief that ambitious businesses should be able to access exceptional senior legal expertise flexibly, while experienced lawyers should have greater ownership over how, where, and with whom they work.

We provide bespoke legal solutions to our clients through our exceptional pool of senior lawyers, delivering strategic legal support in an efficient and flexible way.

Growth can create cyber exposure faster than businesses build the capacity to manage it. Adopting AI, launching connected products, winning enterprise customers and expanding internationally can all bring cybersecurity questions into everyday commercial decisions.

We are keen to connect with experienced cybersecurity lawyers who are interested in interim, fractional or project-based consulting work, helping businesses turn complex risks and legal requirements into practical action.

We are particularly interested in lawyers who can work confidently alongside security, technology, product, and commercial teams, bringing specialist judgement and taking ownership of delivery.

Typical engagements might include:

  • Developing incident-response plans and advising through cyber incidents, including notification decisions and coordination with external advisers
  • Strengthening customer and supplier contracts around security obligations, testing permissions, data handling, and liability
  • Assessing cybersecurity and operational resilience requirements and translating them into clear implementation programmes
  • Supporting AI adoption, connected-product launches, and international expansion with appropriate legal safeguards
  • Building governance frameworks, briefing boards and training decision-makers on cyber risk and accountability
  • Providing embedded specialist support to legal teams during periods of growth, change or increased demand

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
