Cybersecurity Manager
Wood is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Manager to join our Cybersecurity team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cybersecurity, you will lead assigned areas of Wood’s cybersecurity programmed and help translate strategic priorities into effective operational delivery.
This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to UK offices on an ad hoc basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will provide day-to-day leadership to cybersecurity teams, oversee services and projects, manage risk and suppliers, and give senior management clear visibility of performance, priorities and emerging issues. This influential role requires strong leadership, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively across technical teams, business functions and external partners.
This role offers the opportunity to influence and improve cybersecurity delivery across a complex, global organisation. You will work with a broad range of technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners while helping to strengthen services that protect Wood’s people, information, technologies and operations.
You will join a team that values ownership, collaboration, constructive challenge and practical risk management, with scope to lead meaningful improvements, develop cybersecurity talent and contribute directly to the continued maturity of Wood’s cybersecurity programs.
The key objectives for this role are:
- Lead, coach and support assigned Cybersecurity Team Leads and specialists
- Translate cybersecurity strategy and programmed priorities into clear plans, actions and outcomes
- Oversee assigned cybersecurity services, controls and operational activities
- Manage demand across incidents, investigations, service requests, security reviews and improvement activities
- Lead assigned projects and workstreams, maintaining clear ownership, milestones, risks and dependencies
- Monitor delivery against agreed scope, timescales, budgets and expected outcomes
- Maintain accurate dashboards, operational reporting and management information
- Identify and escalate material risks, service issues, resource constraints and delivery concerns
- Support the effective coordination of significant cybersecurity incidents and investigations
- Manage assigned suppliers and managed security service providers
- Build effective relationships across Cybersecurity, IT, business functions and corporate teams
- Communicate cybersecurity risks and requirements in clear, business-focused language
- Support governance reviews, audits, assurance activities and remediation programmers
- Turn lessons from incidents, investigations, audits and service failures into sustained improvements
- Improve services through standardization, automation, knowledge sharing and effective ways of working

QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
- Significant experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk or related discipline
- Experience leading cybersecurity teams, technical specialists, operational services or major workstreams
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity operations, governance, risk management and control environments
- Experience managing projects, suppliers, operational services and competing priorities
- Ability to translate technical cybersecurity matters into clear business risks, decisions and actions
- Strong leadership, communication, organization and stakeholder-management skills
- Confidence to make proportionate decisions and raise material concerns constructively
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective alignment with senior leadership
- Experience in a complex, enterprise-scale or geographically dispersed organization
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity and ethical decision-making

Desirable:
- Holder of CISM or CISSP certification or equivalent is desirable
- Knowledge of recognized cybersecurity and risk-management frameworks
- Experience supporting significant incidents, investigations or crisis management
- Experience managing outsourced cybersecurity services or technology suppliers
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory activities, certifications or customer assurance
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent practical experience
