Job Description
Wavestone UK are seeking to hire a Cybersecurity – Security Operations Consulting Manager
Becoming a Cybersecurity Manager will mean joining the Global Cybersecurity Practice which is an independent and an in-house team of 1000+ consultants working seamlessly across the globe (London, Paris, New York, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore). We have developed a 360° expertise from strategies, operating models, Executive-level supports to Red teaming, security architecture with a focus on major transformation programs.

As a Manager you will join our teams on engagements to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive support throughout their project lifecycle. Playing a key role in the growth of our practice, you are also required to contribute actively to business development initiatives such as identifying new opportunities and fostering client relationships.
Your role will include engaging in a variety of impactful projects, including:
- Deliver current-state assessments (maturity, governance, lifecycle controls, using SOC-CMM) and define target-state capabilities, operating model, and controls framework
- Conduct and review threat modelling of IT/OT or organisations
- Advise and manage Security Operations transformation projects (related to Log Management, Detection, Operating model, Governance and reporting, incident response and automation and AI)
- Own SOC requirements definition and vendor evaluation (RFI/RFP), building scoring models, shaping PoV, and recommending tool selection across domains
- Manage senior stakeholders, facilitate decision workshops, and drive timely decisions via governance, options analysis, and explicit trade-offs
- Own team performance, driving delivery quality and commercial success (for instance through proposals, scoping/estimation, and account expansion)
Qualifications
To be considered for this role:
- Solid foundation in consulting skills in external client-facing consultancy.
- Proven track record of selling consulting services (account planning, client pitches, proposals, value proposition development)
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation, experience in managing and leading teams, developing and coaching junior members of staff
- Hands-on technical leadership delivering SOC solutions on at least one major vendor stack, with Cloud Security Operations depth (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel Datalake / Defender XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, Splunk Enterprise Security, Google Chronicle Security Operations, Elastic Security or Nozomi Networks across hybrid/multi-cloud integration patterns)

Travel and Location
Employees are not required to work in a Wavestone office on a full-time basis but are required to commute to the office /client site, whenever necessary. Wavestone UK office is in the heart of the City of London.
Note: Mandatory 2-3 days per week in Wavestone office / client site during probation
