CyberSecurity Operations Engineer – Graduates Considered

We are excited to be recruiting for an Operations Engineer role with an industry-leading cybersecurity company in London, offering a hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in office per week).

Based on rapid sales growth in 2023 and 2024, this company is experiencing expansion, creating exciting career opportunities within cybersecurity. This dynamic role within the Operations Team delivers high-quality service to clients while providing clear progression paths and a remarkable career trajectory.


Location

  • London – Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office)

Salary

£35,000 – £50,000 per annum


Requirements

To excel in this role, the ideal applicant should have:

  • At least 1 year of commercial experience in a client-facing cybersecurity-related role, such as:

    • Consultant
    • Account Manager
    • Customer Support
    • Service Delivery
  • A 2.1 or 1st-class degree (preferably in Computer Science, CyberSecurity, or a closely related field) from a top-ranked university, showcasing exceptional academic achievement.

  • Strong academic credentials, equivalent to AAA at A Level or equivalent UCAS points.

  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including:

    • Network security
    • SOC (Security Operations Centre) experience (highly beneficial)
    • Microsoft Windows OS and Active Directory

Responsibilities

The CyberSecurity Operations Engineer will lead and support operations within three key areas of the business. Duties include:

Client Relationships

  • Managing and nurturing relationships with clients to ensure high satisfaction and retention.

Security Roadmaps

  • Developing and maintaining Security Roadmaps tailored to client needs.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Providing post-sales technical support, including issue resolution and troubleshooting.

IT Administration & Sysadmin Tasks

  • Overseeing IT administration and system administration tasks.

SOC-Focused Projects

  • Contributing to Security Operations Centre (SOC) initiatives and enhancements.
