Cycling 4 All in North Wales is an all ability cycling project with a specially built track and a wide range of specialist trikes, bikes, tandems and wheelchair cycles meaning that people with many different abilities can experience the joy and health benefits of cycling. The service is based at Alyn Waters Country Park near Wrexham, and attracts users from all over north-east Wales. Our aims are to improve people’s chances in life by increasing the range of opportunities to be active, to enhance the life skills of both users and the volunteers who support them, and to enable people to lead healthier and more active lives.

Role Description

The Cycling 4 All Manager will lead the day-to-day operation of the service, coordinating staff, volunteers and activities to ensure a welcoming, safe and high-quality experience for beneficiaries and visitors. The role involves managing administration, health and safety, safeguarding, fundraising support, impact reporting and stakeholder relationships, while helping to develop the service and secure its long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring activities are delivered effectively and to a high standard.
• Recruit, induct, train, supervise and support staff, volunteers and work placements in the delivery of projects and activities.
• Will be the designated safeguarding lead for the organisation and will maintain appropriate records in support of such.
• Coordinate staff cover arrangements, including managing leave cover and supporting workforce planning.
• Organise and maintain volunteer rotas to ensure appropriate service coverage and volunteer engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, customers, funders, partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Support fundraising and income generation activities, including attending events, developing funding applications, and building relationships with supporters.
• Collect, analyse, and report on service outcomes and impact data to support grant reporting, performance monitoring, and organisational learning.
• Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, producing regular reports to demonstrate service performance and impact.
• Manage essential administrative functions, including accurate recording of financial information and beneficiary details on the customer database, insurance documentation, accounts – collation of receipts and payments for finance, volunteer expenses.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of Health & Safety records, including accident and near-miss reporting.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of the annual Health & Safety Action Plan, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and data protection requirements.
• Attend and contribute to project, team and Cycling 4 All Trustee meetings as required.
• Some travel will be required to attend external meetings, events and fundraising activities.
