Cylinder Operations Manager Belfast

What You Will Enjoy Doing
- You will manage the cylinder operations team in Belfast across three shifts - allocation and planning, appraising, coaching, and setting KPI’s and objectives for the individuals concerned
- Coordinating department labour including holiday requests, absence management and return to work interviews
- In this role you shall be responsible for checking and authorising actual hours worked by team members before submitting to payroll
- Promoting Quality and Safety initiatives and playing an active, leading role in the implementation of the safety and loss control programme
- Lead and undertake employee engagement in the workplace visits with the emphasis on recognising and rewarding correct behaviour, addressing unsafe behaviour and substandard conditions.
- Moreover you will ensure training plans are in place, with Elevate and Practical Competency Assessments complete for staff within the team
- An important part of this role is to enforce compliance with mandatory rules and procedures, addressing non-compliance issues through refresher training, coaching, support or the use of consequence management
What Makes You Great
- You can demonstrate that you work with integrity and that you role model the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace
- In addition you have knowledge of ISO9001– ISO14001- FSSC 22000 operating procedures and systems and knowledge of SAP systems
- Moreover you can evidence visible leadership and experience in managing a team, developing and empowering people in a challenging environment
- You have good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Advanced / third level qualification in manufacturing or associated discipline would be desirable along with NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
