The Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in Wirral Schools. Understanding the specialty of low intensity CBT informed practice within the context of MHST is essential. The main focus of Mental Health Support Teams are:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role will involve working closely with other senior clinical staff to enhance the quality and effectiveness of individual CBT informed interventions offered. They will support the development of staff through supervision, training and consultation, and support the application of CBT principles to clinical work.
The post-holder will be based at Joy, Birkenhead, and will also be expected to work in schools and other community venues across Wirral. Whilst we have funding for full-time hours for this post, part-time hours might be considered.
It is hoped that the post-holder will be willing to undertake a postgraduate qualification in the supervision of low intensity CBT interventions.
We anticipate that there will be a high level of applications for this post, and so potential applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
