Exciting Opportunity for a Band 7 BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist to join our 0–18 Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) within our Crewe and Winsford clinics.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a CBT therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children, young people and their families. The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, formulation and CBT interventions for young people presenting with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties, including those with complex presentations and associated risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.
- Manage a clinical caseload, develop formulations and treatment plans, undertake risk assessments.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies to support positive outcomes.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the CBT pathway, support waiting list management.
- Provide consultation and supervision to colleagues.
- Play an active role in service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.
- Work collaboratively with a range of professionals across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for children and young people.

- Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment, formulation, risk management and therapeutic skills.
- Ability to engage young people with complex presentations.
- Compassionate, resilient and highly motivated with strong communication and leadership skills.
