Contract: Secondment, 12 months (from start date), Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Service Hours: 7 days a week, 8am–8pm

Salary: £39,959 – £48,117 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking to recruit staff with a professional registration (Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy) to work within a dynamic CAMHS Crisis Team. Looking for individuals passionate about working with children and young people and working innovatively across pathways and traditional boundaries.

Main Duties

  • Offer assessment, support, signposting and brief therapeutic intervention to young people requiring crisis support
  • Work within CYP crisis teams including Home Treatment, Rapid Response and Enhanced Rapid Response – paediatric liaison
  • Ensure young people get the right care, from the right clinician/team, at the right time and in the right place
  • Support young people to be cared for in the community to experience the least disruption
  • Support hospital discharge in the safest and quickest way possible with right community resources

  • Assessment on paediatric ward
  • 72-hour Rapid Response pathway
  • 4–6 week Home Treatment pathway

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant core professional qualification in mental health (nursing, social work or occupational therapy) with professional body registration
  • Educated to first degree level
  • Significant experience in community or inpatient settings
  • Experience of assessment, formulation and managing complex cases and risk
  • Experience of exercising clinical responsibility for patients care and treatment
  • Experience working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
  • Detailed knowledge of child safeguarding procedures
  • Sound assessment skills and ability to articulate outcomes
