Principal Clinical Psychologist
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and forward-thinking Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our well-established CYPMHS service, working with children and young people aged 0–18 across our Crewe and Winsford footprint.
This is a senior clinical leadership role for an experienced psychologist who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, and families with complex emotional and mental health needs. You will provide expert psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, alongside strategic clinical leadership, supervision, and service development.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological assessment, including complex formulation at individual, family, and systemic levels.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions both directly and indirectly.
- Provide clinical supervision and consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues.
Requirements
- Experience of, or a strong interest in, working with children and young people aged 0–18 who present with a range of mental health difficulties, often alongside additional psychological needs such as neurodiversity, trauma, and complex risk.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, compassion, and optimism, with a clear commitment to improving outcomes and quality of life for children, young people, and their families.

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care, as well as the provision of three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

Induction and Training
All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction/initial training requirements of the role.
