Sales Manager – Cytogenetics

The Sales Manager – Cytogenetics – will be responsible for effectively developing the growth of the Cytogenetics business. To drive revenue and market share gains across the EMEA. Develop & execute a strategy for the Cytogenetics business across. Increase sales of Kreatech ISH robes. Own and lead the regional activity to win business from new accounts and existing Leica customers. Coordinate the region’s implementation in the field. The candidate will have relevant experience in the Pathology & cytogenetics environment and a proven track record in the product portfolio.

This position reports to the Commercial Development Manager – Advanced Staining and is part of the wider EMEA Sales Unit team. Located in a major European city this role will be fully remote.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Define & Execute the EMEA business strategy for Cytovision – with specific focus on market share capture including the life science / university segment.
  • Develop & execute strategies to increase the sales of Kreatech ISH probes across EMEA.
  • Partner with Account Manager team to manage at the regional level the Cytovision sales opportunities across the full funnel process from lead to implementation.
  • Build and deliver Cytovision projects that match Customer needs & expectations.
  • Partner continuously with the Sales teams, Sales Enablement Manager, Regional Sales & Channel Partner Managers, Distributor Partners to ensure consistent above-market growth.
  • Research and develop new opportunities to increase Leica Biosystems market share.
  • Support the tender response team on technical application process.
  • Develop a training program to up-skill the sales teams across EMEA.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

  • Extensive understanding of the Cytogenetics department – previous knowledge of Cytovision would be beneficial.
  • Commercial background with a proven record of delivering sustained double-digit revenue growth and strong market share gains in the field of Biomedical sales.
  • Or – Significant product management experience including launching new products, product training to a wider team, on-site product support & troubleshooting.
  • Experience delivering training to a wide range of people on a complex subject matter.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel within defined territory up to 80% of their time and also attend sales and related product meetings as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Previous experience with Cytovision / similar product would be preferred.
  • Fluent in English, additional European language would be beneficial.
