D365 Business Analyst - Manufacturing Transformation
Location: London / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Day Rate: Competitive
IR 35: Outside
Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced D365 Business Analyst to join a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation programme within a leading manufacturing organisation.
This is a hands-on role for a BA with strong D365 experience, who can work across business and technology teams to translate requirements into effective Dynamics solutions.
You’ll be involved throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and process analysis through to functional design, testing and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements for D365.
- Lead workshops and discovery sessions to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with D365 Functional Consultants, Solution Architects and technical teams throughout delivery.
- Support the design and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Analyse current-state processes and help define future-state processes within the D365 environment.
- Ensure business requirements are accurately translated into D365 solutions.
- Support D365 configuration discussions and functional design activities.
- Identify dependencies, risks and impacts across the wider D365 solution.
- Develop process maps, functional documentation and other BA deliverables.
- Support SIT, UAT, test planning and defect management.
- Work with stakeholders to validate D365 functionality and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Support deployment, training and business readiness activities.

Experience Required
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on Microsoft Dynamics 365 programmes.
- Strong hands-on experience with D365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
- Experience working across the D365 implementation lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of D365 functionality, processes and how business requirements translate into the platform.
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements for D365 solutions.
- Strong experience producing functional specifications, user stories, process maps and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working alongside D365 Functional Consultants, Developers and Solution Architects.
- Previous experience supporting D365 implementations, migrations, upgrades or rollouts.
- Experience with SIT, UAT and defect management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams.
- Experience working within large-scale ERP transformation programmes.

Desirable
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to D365 Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing.
- Experience with D365 integrations and data migration.
- Experience working with global or multi-site D365 rollouts.
- Experience working with external D365 implementation partners.
