D365 CE Solution Architect

Overview

£650-£750 outside IR35

Our client requires an experienced D365 CE Solution Architect to implement D365 Sales & Marketing to track leads/opportunities and oversee their Sales pipeline. This is a high profile, critical project and requires an experienced individual with excellent communications skills and the ability and gravitas to engage with senior level stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a D365 CE Solution Architect on complex implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Sales, including lead and opportunity management, sales processes and pipeline reporting.
  • Experience working within a large-scale or global business, managing requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse and the Power Platform, and how they support D365 CE solutions.
  • Experience defining integration, data, security and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to challenge requirements constructively and guide stakeholders towards practical, scalable solutions.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on multi-country or multi-business-unit D365 CE programmes.
  • Power BI reporting for sales performance and pipeline analysis.
  • Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and design workshops to understand sales processes, business requirements and reporting needs.
  • Define the D365 CE solution architecture, with a particular focus on Dynamics 365 Sales and lead-to-opportunity processes.
  • Design solutions covering lead management, opportunity tracking, pipeline visibility and sales reporting.
  • Translate business requirements into clear solution designs and guidance for delivery teams.
  • Advise on standard functionality, configuration and extensions, ensuring an appropriate balance between business needs and maintainability.
  • Work with technical teams to define integration, data migration and security requirements.
  • Provide architectural oversight throughout configuration, development, testing and deployment.
  • Engage stakeholders across business functions and locations, supporting consistent processes while accommodating justified local requirements.

Working Arrangements

The position is primarily based around standard working hours. Due to the global nature of the systems being supported, candidates must be comfortable participating in a planned support rota and providing some additional flexibility during major go lives.

The role requires attendance in Nottingham a minimum of two days per week. The specific office days are flexible and will normally be coordinated with the wider team.

Location: Hybrid – Nottingham

Visa Requirements: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
